[MV] M-37 chassis and suspension paint colors

Hey all:

A question for you M series experts:

What color should the chassis rails, steering gear, idler arm, springs, shocks etc... be on a '52 M-37?

I have striped the grease and blasted the paint off the nether areas of the truck, and found a mix of black and OD components (Except the steering box which was light blue?). I want to repaint it correctly, any input would be gratefully accepted.

Another thought while I an the subject of paint: Most M-37s that I have run across have had a silver/grey engine. Mine has what seems to be a factory OD paint job. The question then is; were replacement engines not the factory color, were the engines painted when the engines were reworked? (The engine has had a number of MWOs applied), or could the motor Sergeant just have been a little over zealous with the touch up paint?

Thanks in advance for any help.
