Well, actually the term is "Hubschrauber". When spoken by a native
German-speaker, the "b" in Hub... sounds rather like a "p". Don't know
the etymology of the word; come in there, Andreas, erläutern sie bitte!

Apologies to Arthur & the group for being just a tad off subject, but a
helicopter/Hubschrauber IS frequently a military vehicle.
