[MV] M-37 restarting after storage

I'd think about getting as much gas out of the tank as possible before
trying to start it and filling the tank with fresh gas. After 3 years a
bunch of varnish will form and the gas will loose a lot of the lighter
hydrocarbons that make an engine easy to start. I think your chances of
getting it going and keeping it going are a lot better with a fresh tank =
of
gas. =

Also, I wouldn't bother changing the oil first unless it looks really bad=
,
just make sure it is up to level and then get a good battery and try and
fire it up. The temporary fuel filter might be a good idea if the origin=
al
filter is not very easily replaced or small. =

Good luck,

Dave

>Oh in case you have questions on the quality of this low dollar truck,
there is =

no winch, no top(but hardware for canvas top there), all military lights,=

no rust visible, all the glass good, seats are trash. but overall in very=

good condition. Fire truck red. If there isn't major engine problems. My
first Military vehicle and my wife already says she will sell it cheap.<
