I've been doing a bit of shipping lately 8-) and it has cost me about
USD 1000 to USD 1250 to ship a Dodge-sized vehicle across the pond in a
consolidated container shipment, I'd guess a GMC to be closer to USD
1500 / 1700.

You have to allow another USD 500 or so for port and handling charges
each end, plus taxes, etc as appropriate. It takes three weeks US west
coast and four and a half US east coast. If you are shipping into a
port without much in the way of consolidated car shipments it may mean
a delay until there is enough to fill a container etc. All my
shipping was based on cubic volume rather than weight, so take the
opportunity to fill the back of it with anything else that needs moved.
For example you could move a Dodge weapons carrier or a jeep in the
back of it for very little extra. The other requirement will be
clear title / bill of sale etc for friendly US Customs.

All shipments of this type to the UK seem to come into Felixstowe too,
which may or may not be a problem for you.
