Organizations in today's world need to provide a reason to join other
than "changing the organization". As a Vietnam Vet, I could join the
following, The American Legion, The AMVETS, The Vietnam Veterans of
America, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and I could go on and on... I
have chosen not to belong to a number of those organizations because of
the political stands they have taken. My time is much more important
than changing an organization to meet my needs and agenda. If the
organization is on a self destructive course it is not worth my precious
time and energy to try and change its course.....

I also have a number of older vehicles. I have to make choices as to
the organizations that I will associate with in conjunction with my car
ownership. I could join a dozen organizations as a result of the my
ownership of my Triumphs, but I won't waste my money and time. Those
organizations that demonstrate value to me are going to attract me to
their rolls..

As for the Military world there are a number of organizations that can
be joined. Frankly, you need to demonstrate to me value before I am
going to part with money that could be used on my vehicles instead.
