1. Other than the turbo or non-turbo version - were there substantial
differences between different years/truck installations on the Multifuel
engines?
2. Is the injection pump used on these engines the same between
turbo/non-turbo/different years - ie swappable?
3. There has been some talk about the weaknesses of the Multifuel engines=
,
however, how do they compare against Cummins and Detroit Diesel as far as=
reliability? Some dealers charge big bucks for a multifuel equipped tru=
ck
vs a comparably equipped gas unit.
4. What is the best source of information on these engines.
Finally, does anyone have any idea what military vehicle came equiped wit=
h
a Continental Model 7005 straight 6 gas engine. The engine has overhead
valves. I have a line on one, but I have no idea what it went into. Th=
e
engine is large - like a mid size semi engine.
