Split rims are not ununsual on older trailers and semitrailers and they
were still used on some modern trucks for export in deserts countries and
other third world countries. The reason is simple: With a split rim one
or two man can change the tyre on the rim. With a one-piece rim like on
modern trucks, it is impossible without a machine.

So go to a tyre shop, which is specialised in truck and trailer tyres.
I think they can help you.=20

It is also true, nobody wants to touch a damaged or badly corroded split
rim. These things are only good for the scrap yard.
