Hi List,

I was hoping a List member may be be able to tell me
what this part is for.

I don't want to open it and wreck the packaging if it's no use to me.
>From shaking the box, it feels like a small wiring harness or even
perhaps a carby repair kit. The (repacked 1952) cosmolined box has
only the following number on it:

G509-77-06683

G509 refers to a WW2 Diamond T 4 ton 6x6 truck - the 06683 is
apparently the individual part number but what is the significance of
the "77". Is it some sort of reference to the year the part was
revised or repacked - ie., 1947?

The numbers in my 1942 and 1944 Diamond T wrecker
parts books don't even come close to this number. If only they had
put the Diamond T part number on it.

Regards,

David Robinson. Brisbane. Australia.
