Just inherited an old '51 M38. My grandfather bought it from a surplus =
auction from the Wisconsin forestry service, where it was before that =
??????

I know bupkis about restoration, what the dash should look like, etc.. I =
am looking for good souces of printed materials that might show me what =
goes where. I have found a shop in town that says they can get any part I =
need for an M38. =20

I was told by this shop UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES REPLACE THE TUB. With some =
slight rust, that means BONDO (ugh!) can anyone recommend high qaulity =
stuff that will not crack under temp extremes, I live in MN and it will be =
stored at unheated in temps below -20 in future winters. =20

It has three different paint jobs on it, does anyone know if any of this =
old auto paint is lead based?

Lastly, I have seen the brake conversion kits to go to larger drums =
selling for $500. Anyone aware of a cheaper price.=20
