Funny that we can put America's finest young sons and daughters (and some not
so young) in these vehicles everyday in the military and they are deemed good
enough. I will tell you too, that in the military, we take safety very
seriously. When was the last time you had to have your personal auto inspected
by your boss before going out of town on a long weekend? When was the last
time you had to have your vehicle inspected prior to each days operation?
Bottom line, we are very safety conscience. I can't believe the demil issue
has anything to do with anyone's safety. It is pure bureaucratic BS that makes
this the case.

My God, an M-35A2 2.5 ton in the wrong hands is MUCH more dangerous than a
middle aged man (or woman) behind the wheel of an M151, yet M35s are sold
everyday and M151s are destroyed.

Funny, everytime I drive my M151A1 to work on Fort Sill, someone always has to
tell me a story about one someone in their unit flipped. In the early 80's, I
spent many an hour in M151s and I never was in, around nor saw or even heard of
one getting flipped. Does that mean none were? No, but I do think it shows
that the rumormill has perpetuated the myth.

Remember, this is the government and the military we are talking about. Don't
expect it to make too much sense, otherwise, you will only be disappointed.

After 17 years in the Army, I have seen so much waste, it makes me sick.
