[MV] M37 in Central Michigan

Help list. I bought (sight unseen) a '62 M37 from the forestry
service at Gaylord (north central) Michigan. A friend and I had planned
on goin up this weekend, and with his 1 ton truck and trailer, pick it up
and bring it back to the KC mo area. Unfortunately my friends truck
broke down. Now I have attempted to contact several trucking Co.'s with
no good results. Some have quoted costs as much as $1,000 to get it
here. Granted its 900 miles, but, Whew !!!
Anyways, does anybody know anyone in the area they would recommend to
have the truck taken off the lot and stored for a reasonable price till I
can come up and get it (maybe 1 or 2 months). Maybe someone knowledgable
who can even tell what it will take it to get it running (I have more
time than $, so maybe I'll drive it back).
I know this is short notice, any help or ideas. Thanks, Steve
