When I was in Kuwait just after liberation I was taken up the Basra road
to see an area of armoured vehicles which had been, ah, left behind. I
can't say 'abandoned' since, in several cases, something of the original
occupants remained. I guess there are /some/ ex-mil vehicles that I would
/not/ want to take home with me. In any case, when I /did/ express a wish
to bring back something I was told it was 'harram!' (forbidden!).

As you say, 'none to us' - it ain't fair :-(
