Amazing, but true. Last year I drove an M-37 with a questionable tag (rear only, NJ
requires front and rear) from New Jersey to Colorado. The only time a cop showed an
interest was when I was stopped on the side of the road. He wanted to see if I needed
help and also asked if I was carrying explosives. I was not dressed in anything military
but he seemed to think I was "official". He left without bothering me further.

Maybe the mentality is that if you are in a military vehicle you are automatically one of
the "good guys"???
