I was going to run 33's.....3.73 gear ratio.

You may have noticed in this month's Petersen's 4 wheel

Side gears in the 9" are 28 now, was considering going to 31's
unless the outside hub diameter was smaller....

Yes, this is a concern, especially since the lockout type is
aluminum, though wider. The stock steel gear is only 3/4" wide.

The 304 has 9.2:1 honest compression, a slightly bigger cam, and
Holley Pro Jection. A little warm...

You know a lot, and I plan to do the Rubicon within 2 years. I guess
I will have to see what components fail. No matter what, I am better
off than trying to upgrade the Model 20 and Dana 30.

Big bucks, but classy ! I am looking for the dash mount rifle rack
for my M1 Garand...gotta start somewhere...
