Sometimes we have to tell the turkeys that are objecting to our
ownership of MV's that we have had the stuff since WWII was over and
there has been no problem with our miss use. HOWEVER try to take it away
and we will find a way to own it anyway. It's the american way to
circumvent authority anyway possible legally or otherwise. Try to take
our rights away and we tend to accept it to a point then we have to
fight back - legally. Now it seems that the people at the legislative
level may be ingornant of our presence and what we stand for there fore:
1) should we send them some of our litature ; 2) invite them to our
local MVPA meetings; invite them to attend the national in California to
see for them selves just how big we are? Ignorance is no excuse for
poor, hysterically motivated half assed legislation. And the only way
to stop it is to educate the turkeys. All surplussed weaponry is
disabled anyway, by law. Except in some rare cases like our state hwy
dpt that has a tank for avalanche controll (they've been using it a lot
latley). And there is nothing to prevent someone from fabricating their
own weaponry or armor. Anyone with a basic knowledge of welding can cut
and weld anyway. And if I was going to use or do something illegal that
required armor I could fabricate it in a wkend. (Unless ur the "A" Team
than it can be done in ten minutes) I'm good at letter writing. (It's
amazing what I can do with spell check) (Obviously I don't have it here
on web) So lets get some ideas together and e-mails and address and pass
them around and start blowing these guys out of the water. ("Impeach" is
not a pressidential term) Later K
