Unfortunately, a form letter is no good. I belong to an aviation organization
which has mounted many letter writing campaigns to stop or block stupid regulations
imposed by the FAA or the same type of legislation from Congress. In any an all
cases, they DO NOT recommend a form letter. BTW, they have a worldwide membership
of several hundred thousand and are pretty effective. I would recommend following
their style....NO FORM letters.

It isn't too difficult to come up with a list of salient points to make, but each
actual letter must be different. You lose credibility if you Senator receives
identical letters. Each of us must write our letters, but we must all make the
same points and be courteous.

If you want to ask someone questions about how to approach this type of problem, I
am sure the aviation organization to which I refer, the Experimental Aircraft
Assocation, would be willing to help the MVPA leadership get a jump on this
problem.

Regardless of what rights the government are attempting to curtail, the method of
overcoming the effort is the same. Let's not reinvent the wheel. Start with
contacting the EAA at www.eaa.org
