Dave,
The winter top has flaps with the twist type fasteners sewn in to hold the
side curtains. There is also a flap that surrounds the rod that goes from
the top bow to the windshield. The side curtains also fasten to the sides
of the top's rear flap. This is the way mine is constructed, there's probably
several variations. I have a pic of my 1945 MB with the end curtains and
winter top installed. E-mail me if you want me to e-mail it to you. I never
got around to installing the doors. Everything is copied from originals and
the window frames were taken out of original side curtains. The rear window
also has a metal frame.
