[MV] 841 fun today

Hi list,
Finally got my hands on the 841 today. Lots of fun. I got a nice
Cheng Shin Tire to replace the rear. Surprise, surprise, original inner
tube marked military, although faintly. And it probably can be saved- only
one hole.
I started off by checking out the mechanical timing. All seemed
to be right by the manual. I looked at the points, and they looked okay,
set about right. Cables to and from the distributor looked okay, and in
good contact, not too badly corroded. Gapped the spark plug. Rotor looked
okay. Points a little wide, but tightened them up. All wire connections
looked intact, but still got no spark. I managed to find a 6V 36 ampere
hour battery, so I know I had enough juice, and got the headlight to light,
but no spark. Any ideas on where to go next? After three hours, I decided
I needed to think on it more and went on to other stuff, like cleaning some
of the rat shit off of the skid plate, and all the rest of the junk off of
the rest of the bike. I can't wait to paint it green. My wife is saying
how good it looks in red. I'm in trouble when she says stuff like that
about my other vehicles.

After going through it, this is what I need to make this a complete 841. I
appreciate any leads on parts:

Rear spill bars
Rear fender section
Front fender (or a trashed 640 front fender to cut a new piece)
Front fender stays
Luggage rack
two of four headlight stays
swivel pin for foot boards

I have already found a guy to do wiring harnesses for me, in case any other
lost sheep 841 owners out there need one.
