[MV] Okay, here's a little different spin on the ball...

Hello List!

I know that we deal 99.99% with actual military vehicles (i.e.: It once
wore green and was shot at for real, driven by a guy who would answer to
the name of "Mac" "Hey you!" or "GET YER BUTT OUTTA MY JEEP AND GO STEAL
YER OWN!!!"...).

HOWEVER...

...At the risk of being off-topic for a split second:

Are there any resources for purchasing "military-esque" vehicles?
(Specifically vehicles created for the cinema with that "military feel"
like, for instance, the "Landmaster" out of "Damnation Alley", or the "APC"
out of "Aliens" and such.) Some of these were based on military surplus
chassis, but I'm interested if there's anything out there that belongs in
this niche, or if anyone knows mailing lists or good websites.

There are those twisted souls who take perfectly good vehicles and turn
them into futuristic works of fantasy just because it's fun to do. (I'll
admit to wishing that I had either a 20mm Bushmaster chain gun on top on my
car, or a fully charged laser battery, when I face the Orange Crush
everyday during rush hour...)

My apologies for going, (what would you call it?), off-topic, over-topic,
beyond topic...

Bill
