Option #1

Go to your Yellow Pages and look up automotive starter alternator
repairs and rebuilding. Find the nearest shop and drive the M38A1 there and
ask him if he could (REMEMBER THIS WORD) kindly adjust it please. Most
generator shops that have been in business more then 30 years would have
very little difficulty.

Option #2

Replace regulator with a solid state one inside the original regulator
case.......this way only you know.
