If you are going to undergo a complete brake rebuild, which is actualy not
all that bad realy, the hardest part is getting those damed "S" lines fitted
(there is a special hell for the guy who makes all of those things too
long), but I digress. If you are going to do a complete brake rebuild, I
would sugjest going to silicone brake fluid. The stuff is outragiously
expensive, $25 per quart!, but it does not suck up moisture like normal
fluid and will save you a lot of money in the long run. If you do want to
do this and but only want to replace the slave cylinders (or just the one),
you will need flush the system of the old fluid useing some sort of thinner
or alcohol. I have never done this as I just replaced the entire lot during
my rebuild, so I am not exactly sure what is safe to use for this purpose,
but any good auto supply should be able to tell you what to use.
Just my 2 cents.
