Has anyone ever put a new seal in the master cylinder of a 151?
I know it was not supposed to happen but I live here in the Land of No
Spares and I have found the exact seal that I removed - just took the old
one out and said to my messenger "Go find me one like that"
Exactly the same thing came back - and I mean exactly the same.
Trouble is, is that what came out was a "Seiken" seal. Almost certainly
not what was fitted at manufacture??? yes? no? So maybe this cylinder has
been refitted before.....?
At the time of writing, my messenger has just returned from a sortie and
informed me that he has a (hitherto reliable) chinese proprietor claiming
that he will have a brand new cylinder for me tomorrow a.m.! Price
(equiv.) $38. Does anyone know which other vehicles these cylinders were
used on??
