I started the rebuild on my Carter ETW1 carb today. All went well except I
cant get the intake check ball (Item DD on the Exploded view in manual) or
the discharge check ball (item HH) out of their little pockets. I cant get
a rubber tip compressed air nozzle into it to push them out from behind. I
tried picking them out with wire. I left the bowl top cover in carb
cleaning solution for the rest of the night, hoping it would get them loose.
Any ideas? I dont know if the carb will work with these stuck in place.
