[MV] Exporting HMMWV to UK

I have been offered HMMWV s for sale. To be inspected at a Marine Corps
Base. Are the rumours regarding release of HMMWV untrue (we hear about
scrapping orders with inspectors supervising the destruction of vehicles
bought at auction ). Is it a case of relaxation of the rules. A stroke
of luck for the vendor.(Or maybe a scam?)
What is required to assure legality of such a vehicle (title, release,
tagging)
What is involved in the export side of it and what in the import into
the UK
I understand that "Personal Import" is the way to go.
Any comments /hints/suggestions appreciated.
("TJW" Worthington ring a bell? I nearly got stung another time, so
excuse my caution)
