One point to note is that local French gas stations have on previous
Normandy trips whacked up the price of fuel by around 35%. From memory the
chepaest in the region was the supermarche at Bayeux.But, despite proudly
dispaying the "Eurocheques welcome"-it refused to.After a bit of a debate
over this, we eventually had to leave the M16 halftrack as a hostage and go
change some money.
