They were DEFINITELY used as MV's by the Venezuelan Army. I remember
visiting some of the more isolated Army bases near the Brazilian border
and seeing some of them in use. This was while working as an expedition
guide, 1988-1994. Dunno if they are still in use, but judging from some
some of the older M151's and Toyota Land Cruisers still in operation, I
assume that they're still used to patrol the jungle trails in the state
of Amazonas.
