Hi Henry,

The white marking on your truck are soapstone marking crayon such as
welders use to mark steel to be cut with the torch. It doesn't dissolve in
any solvent that I know of. You can get it off with a little detergent
(like 409) and a light touch with a scotchbrite pad (green plastic pot
scrubber).
