Hello all,

I am new to the MV hobby and am in the market for a vehicle.

I am set on a 1942-1945 jeep. It can be a Willys MB or Ford GPW. I have
chosen this type of vehicle as it is relatively small and will fit in my
garage. It is also road legal in my area. Also because of the apparent
availability of parts (any comments?).
I am not picky about whether or not it is 100% "correct", "complete" or
"original". I am mostly concerned about its military appearance and
configuration. If it was previously restored, reproduction parts are
acceptable, as long as they are accurate repros. I would definitely
appreciate "combat wheels/rims" and non-directional tires as part of the
package. Extra parts are desirable but not required. Jeeps with added roll
bars or other significant permanent modifications need not apply. Canvas top
is desirable, but again, that is not
required.
The body should be solid with VERY little rust. Hopefully it is already
painted a correct color, but this is not required. It should be running, and
safe to drive. The brakes and transfer case (four wheel capability)should be
in good working order. A good title for the vehicle is a must.

I am in the Cleveland, Ohio area and would be willing to travel to see any
titled vehicle, as I just can't bring myself to spend a bunch of money on
something sight unseen.

I will be attending the Medina MV show in July and hope to see something
there. If someone has what I'm looking for, please bring it out!

If the seller is interested, I would be willing to put up a 1980 Honda
Goldwing 1100 GL that is in great shape with 37k miles as part of the
purchase price.

Please contact me if you have or know of someone who has a vehicle for sale
fitting this description.

I have submitted my application to the MVPA already.

Thank you all very much

Bob Kelly
