A mule expert, great! I have a few questions.

There seems to be a major discrepancy between the manuals, actual
observations, and expert opinion on the subject of throttle cables. My -A5
had a sold wire cable for the long one and a stranded one for the little
short one connected to the pedal. The 'proper' replacement long cable is
stranded. There are also some differences between different models and the
manuals as to the fittings and return springs back at the govenor.

Is there a definative "if this model, then that..." description for the
throttle cable system?

What was the other hole in the front next to the ignition switch to be used for?

What was the hole that is dished out on the other side of the front for?

Were only -A5's upgraded as above? How many were done? Was there a fixed
block of numbers that were converted or was it just whatever was around at
the time?
