WOW! I had no idea this would stir so much passion...Indeed this
NRA thing is emotional...
Unfortunately many comments are showing the old manicheistic
pattern coming from "our" old anglo-saxon protestant puritanical
roots: if you are not 100% for, you are 100% against... If
you're not a 100% True-Blue Republican, then you are a 100%
bleeding-heart liberal Democrat... If you are not behind the NRA
100%, then you are against the Second Amendment 100%
etc...etc...
It it's not White, it is Black... Heaven forbid looking at any
shades of Gray...or trying to find some middle ground
anywhere... that would be so Un-American...

Thank God I lived in Europe for 40 years before becoming an
American, and I am not quite cast in that same cultural
mold....
