Well spoken, Ted!

In conjunction with what Glenn Goodman said earlier, I truly believe,
not in any kind of 'Master Conspiracy', but in the fact that, as this
century draws to a close, governments everywhere, spurned on by the
head-churning effectiveness of modern communications, will simply choose
to let their bureaucrats map the future... and unfortunately, that
future has no room for people in eclectic hobbies such as ours!

They will only get away with it if we let them.

We ALL have to get off our butts NOW and do something to ensure that
what we have today we'll be able to pass on to our children and future
generations.

If we don't do it now, we'll have no one to blame but ourselves, once
"it" happens. In short, I am a firm believer in the adage that if you
want to build and drive these vehicles, you have an obligation to ensure
that we keep them. THAT means working within the confines of any
organization which can influence the politicos in whatever system you
live under.

MVPA is a heck of a good start in this hobby. Let's clean out our own
'closet', then get to work to make sure we can still enjoy what we do in
ten years' time. Maybe the EAA has had such success because of the
relative value of the average warbird; but isn't your beast of
equivalent value to you? C'mon guys... it's now or never... COMMIT!
