Since the chassis was rated at 2.5 tons off road and 5 tons on road, and
the truck weighs 7 tons............ I thought 12 was a reasonable
figure. If you've seen the development photos of a Sherman suspended
between two DUKWs or a Stuart on a two-DUKW ferry you might realise why.
The plate was actually on it when I bought it, but any lettering had long
since gone.
