Hi all,
I got a few new facts about the jeep from India.
1953 CJ3B
He says it is a "Willys", but it isn't written on it anywhere. A placard
that indicates it was made in India is on the side near the drivers door.
All gauges are metric. 4 cyl. f-head. somewhere on it it says "Bangor",
or something like that.
He claims to have bought it from a guy that had bought a bunch of them in
India and was set to sell them in the US , he brought 2 here and then the
Gov. (US), stopped the importation. He thinks they were sent over in crates
and assembled there.
Any ideas?
He doesn't know much about this kind of stuff, so he can't help me identify
it much better. How would a person make a more detailed identification?
He says he wants 6k for it, and it's clean and works good.
I'm not especially interested, but maybe someone else is. It's in Northern
CA.
Henry
