Hi List. I'm newly subscribed, but have followed for a couple of years,
using the archives. Great work Arthur!

Have started work on a WC21 (1941 1/2 ton T215 Weapons Carrier). First task
is to undo the ill-fitting of a T214 (3/4 ton) engine by a previous owner. I
seek the experience of listers out there for information on T214/T215 engine
difference (particularly a clear picture of the T215 engine mountings).

My 6 references don't help: TM 10-1531 (1942 original), TM 10 1123/1443
(Portrayal reprint), Brooklands (Dodge MV Collection 1), Becker & Dentzer,
OFVD and HMVD (both Vanderveen)suggest both engines are 230.2 cu.in. (3771
cc), same bore & stroke & compression ratio, but respectively:

T214 (3/4 ton):
bhp: 99@3300, X ,92@3200,92@3200,92@3200,92@3200.
torque: 184@1400-2000, X , 180@1200,180@1200, X , X .

T215 (1/2 ton):
bhp: X , 99@3000, 99@3000, X , 92@3000, 92@3100
torque: X , X , 184@1400, X , X , X .

Confusing? It seems there may be engineering differences as well as
physically obvious ones. Can anyone clarify?

Thanks
