I have driven a propane powered car for over 100,000 miles. Power is not a problem. I understand that CNG is very similar to propane in performance. Propane is almost as easy to fill as gasoline, CNG takes hours to refuel and a very expensive pump that has a short life. Unless you have access to a CNG refueling station, I would not reccomend it. Most CNG vehicles can easily be converted to propane. I converted my vehicle from CNG to propane. The tank will be the most expensive part. I am not familiar with mutifuel military vehicles, but I suspect that they are all diesel engine powered. CNG and propane are very easy on motors, oil changes can be extended to easily double the recommended frequency. Unfortunately propane gets about 15 % lower fuel mileage and is now more expensive than gasoline where I live. I do not know what the cost per mile to run CNG is. Good luck.

My friend is looking at a van powered by this gas. I imagine they are less polluting but do they have any power? Any other info would be helpful........Alan
