No, that's wrong. Compressed natural gas (CNG) is not propane!
Propane is LPG. CNG is the gas which comes out of the earth and to
your home through pipes (if you have a gas stove or a gas heater at home).
In Germany we call it "Erdgas". This gas can be compressed to around
300 bar (4500 psi) and put into high pressure gas tanks to power a vehicle.

Many busses made by MAN here are powered by CNG. The big high pressure gas
bottles are on the roof of the bus.
