[MV] military trailers

I have a WWII 1-ton trailer, of the Ben-hur type. The trailer has no plate
indicating
manufacturer, only a brass data plate. On the dataplate
it says :Trailer, ammunition M24. It is currently identical to the 1-ton
cargo trailers
I have seen. Did this trailer have any special features? What companies
made the
M24 trailer?
