Some tips on buying M35's (been there done that). These tips are based on
actual exp.

Take some work clothes and flashlight with you. Look at exhaust stack for
soot running down in will give you an indication truck ran recently. Try to
start it. Check oil for water and water for oil. Look for evidence that
major components have been recently changed - Friend of mine in natl. guard
says that it is no uncomnmon to replace good parts of truck they are having
to turn in with bad stuff off one that they are having to keep. Check tires
for cracks and splits. You may find some that came back from the Gulf with
not DOT approved tires and if DRMO personel find them the will take a saw
and cut them.

If you find evidence that it was driven to sale after checking oil, water,
fuel, and brakes drive the green monster home, I one time drove an overwidth
truck about 150 miles home.
