Could someone tell me a bit more please? If I have this right, the US
Army
has only just recently fielded a cooker/heater with it's vehicles?

English AFV's and some non-armoured vehicles have been equipped with a
"Boiling Vessel" (it is a multi-purpose appliance so is best described
as
a cooker/heater/water boiler [for the tea]) in 24V since before WW2.
These
are listed as part of the CES (Complete Equipment Schedule) for each
type
of vehicle.

Regards
Doug
