Re: [MV] DRMS Bidding and M35's (long)

I have bought a few trucks from DRMS auctions, even have attended the bid
openings of a few national sales (before national sames office moved from
Memphis to Battle Creek). Sales staff seemed very nice & dedicated but were
often surprised (amazed) at the number of bids that had to be thrown out
because bidder did not correctly/completely fill out forms.

Among common mistakes was putting too short a period in the bid acceptance
time box (box says on it what is minimum time normally 10 days), not signing,
not filling out end use (delays award process, but doesn't disqualify you).
Illegable bids.

A few times I've seen all or none bids where bidder specifies how much he
will pay per piece, specifing he will take all at the price or none. They
accept bid or bids which put most in Treasury.

Example: Ten trucks being sold, I bid all or none 100.00 each. You bid
200.00 for one and some one else bids the others at 50 each. My bid total
1000, other bids 200+(9x50) is 650.00. Therefore I will get all, even though
you were high bidder on one because my bid total was higher than combined
total of others.

Just adding to the confusion,
David
