To enlighten other deuce owners that may be curious as to towing
capacities, heres a summary of answers I received to my posting:
1. The only civ lunette that will fit a m35 is rated 60,000 lbs. with a
little common sense you should be able to tow 30,000 lbs safely. on
level ground that is, as the power of the truck is rather limited for
any hills
2.I pull a Ferret Mk2/3 8000 pounds on a 4000 pound 12 ton trailer (electric
brakes) No problems.
3.Joe,
I asked someone about that before,and they said that the 10,000 # rating was
tongue weight.That was several years ago,and now I do not remember who told
me that.Heck,that's got to be right,because I have pulled another duece with
mine,and that right there is over the 10,000 pounds.
