If it helps - one good thing about GPW is that the original serial number is
stamped into the top of the frame so can be found even when the data plates
are missing - the major weakness of the Willys MB as far as I am concerned!
Look on left frame rail, near fuel pump and shock mount. Star, serial
number, then star. Star at each end tells you when you have recovered all of
the numbers.
