Howdy List,
While digging thru huge piles of surplus in a warehouse a few weeks ago, I
came across a few treasures. =^) One thing I got was a "Apron-Mechanics,
Type B-2, Spec 3130" . It is a light OD color with web straps. There are
three snap closing pockets in the center. The are about 3.5"x2.75" each.
There is also a row of six pockets along each lower side. The shape of the
apron is basically:

------------------

/ three pockets \
/ \
---- -----

------------
pockets / \ pockets
---------- ---------

Does anyone know the approximate date of this apron? FYI I'm hoping it's
WW2 since I have a Willys MB.

Also, while I'm at it, did the M1944 Food,Container,Insulted make it to
the ETO before the end of WW2? I got out of the same pile & 'd like to
carry it in my MB to keep drinks cold. Also, what would be a good way to
seal the inside of it? The aluminium seems to have corroded away in a few
places (1/16" holes in bottom) letting liquids out & insulation in. (I'm
gonna have to let my sister identify the insulation to see if it's
asbestos, it probably is with my luck)

Thanks,
Brian Mead
