[MV] Questions about CUCVs - AKA: My civilian car is dying =^)

Howdy List,
Ok, my car is dying - engine blowing smoke, A/C dead! Ok, so MVs
don't have A/C but just about any car gets better airflow than my MX-3.
I'm also sick & tired at looking at the underside of everyones bumpers!
So let's look at this as an opportunity, not a setback. >=^)
Now for the questions: do CUCVs have fresh air vents down near the
floor? My wife's 1969 GMC has floor vents & even in Georgia in the
summer we don't miss the A/C. Our 1976 Chevy P/U doesn't have floor
vents, but it came with A/C.
Does anyone drive a CUCV as a daily driver with at least two days a
week driving 120 miles round trip? How is the maintenance on the
CUCVs? Are they fairly close maintenance wise to the civilian version
= will it be easy for my mechanic to work on? (he is an ex-National
Guard mechanic, but he may be sick or out of the shop when I go)
Other questions: What kind of mileage can I expect? Also, how does
this vehicle do pulling a 2 horse trailer? I guess the trailer & horses
are about 3000 pounds total.

Thanks,
Brian Mead
