Re: [MV] 7.50 X 16 tires on MB?

It's my understanding that the MB/GPWs ran 6X16 tires and that was changed =
to 7X16 with the M38 (I think). I've got an M38A1 I'd like to run 7.5X16s =
under it but I may have to lift it a bit. From what I have seen I wonder =
if an MB/GPW could run that size without some kind of lift. I have a =
Coker Tire catalog and they list the diameter of the 7X16 at 30" and the =
7.5X16 at almost 32", and I would have to squeeze it in without any mods. =
Haven't noticed what the 6X16 diameter is.
As always, I humbly bow to those with greater knowledge. Please correct =
me if I am wrong on this.

Hi List

I just purchased the October issue of Petersons 4Wheel and Off Road =
magazine. They have several good articles on Miltary Jeeps and MV's. In =
the Jeep supplement, they show a MB owned by Ken Hake fitted with 7.50 X =
16 NDT flotation tires. Were these tires ever used during WW2 on MB/GPw's? =
The MB also has a neat charcoal and OD camo paint job. Is this also =
correct?=20

Thank you,
