You are right. I went and looked at the truck at lunch, made a couple of =
calls and refered back to the service manual. All the tools; axe, shovel =
and mattock (disassembled) go in the tray below the passenger seat, with =
the bottom straps holding the tools in place. The upper footman loops and =
straps on the rear of the cab, about halfway up, are to store the roof =
side panels, when the soft top isn't used. I remembered a friend of mine =
having the fifth wheel version(M221) with a std looking pioneer rack, =
which I was trying to reference. I called him and he said he added that =
in. I had planned on sending this out again once I saw my error, but you =
got to me first. :-)

Keep in mind the GMC M series does not use the common pioneer tool rack. =
