[MV] Silicone brake fluid

My new M109A3 is straight out of military service, so it should have
silicone brake fluid in it. I drew out a little bit of fluid from the
master cylinder with an eyedropper and tried to mix it with some DOT 3
fluid, and the two would not mix. Does this verify that I have
silicone brake fluid in my truck?

The brake fluid in my truck is yellow. Are different types of brake
fluid consistently color-coded?

Is military BFS equivalent to civilian DOT 5 fluid?

Where can one find suitable silicone brake fluid? The local Pep Boys
only carries DOT 3 and DOT 4.

Thanks for any help!

By the way, I'm preparing a cross-reference list for filters, fluids
and lamps used in the M35A2 and similar trucks. I should have the
first draft posted on my web page later tonight; I'll make an
announcement to the list when it's ready.
