I believe that the numbers for the Mil Standard filters are Napa 1100, =
Fram C21, AC P115, Wix 51100(PC100), and Purolater P51. I have used the =
Napa brand filters for all of my stuff and the gasket has been the right =
size for the lid. Try another brand, or at least check box before you =
leave the store, could've gotten some mismatched parts before.

What is the correct oil filter element for a '53 M38A1 (F134 engine)? =
I've only had to change the oil once since I've had it and I'm not sure =
they gave me the correct filter element before at the NAPA store. It was =
the right size and does work, but the gasket that came with it was not =
correct. The old one was in good shape so I re-used it. Time for another =
change and want to make sure I get the right thing. The service manual I =
have does not give me a number. Thanks.
