I realize the landlord's son got his come-uppance, but this situation
really bothers me.

Renters have property rights just as the landlord does. I don't
believe the landlord's son had any legal right to pop up and have YOUR
property towed away.***especially***if it was on the street in front
of the residence! That would have been up to your township/police to
enforce, and after due process.

I think if he had had it towed, you could have been the owner of a new
SUV , so to speak. And the Brat Son would have gone to court on
charges.

You may not want to piss off your landlord, but you have the legal and
moral right to expect a certain amount of security when you signed the
rental lease.

Good luck on your M-37...that was my first HMV.
