My recent acquisition of the Japanese Mutt book gives rise to a query about
the rear shackles on Marine Corps M151 and A1 vehicles.

Yasuo's book has a multitude of pics of Marine Corps vehicles that have an
A2-type shackle on the rear wheel arch, albeit in a different plane to the
one on the A2. It is attached to a large triangular plate that appears to
be bolted to the rear wing.

Does anyone know about this modification and.........has anyone got any of
those shackle plates?
